Eyes of the Artist - ProjectHello all !Eyes of the Artist - Project by Savaliste
I've come up with a lovely community project that I hope you'll join.
"Eyes of the Artist" or "Eye of the Artists" haven't decided just yet which to call it..advice?
Here is the point:
Your eyes see the beauty in art. Your eyes see and create art. Granted you don't need eyes to create art or feel art but seeing art is certainly a wonderful experience.
What to do:
Take a photo of one of your eyes.
Use a camera or cell phone or whatever you can.
Please make sure it's in color and not b&w.
At least 500x500
No major editing please other than crop and such...
I'd like to see your eye as you are in everyday life
Upload to DA into whichever category you wish.
Then comment here with the link.
When I get enough deviants participating I will post the results
and you'll see how lovely it is...
hoping it goes as planned
I'll be combining them all to make o
Hoodie Cult 2.0We did it in 2010 and it's time to do it again!Hoodie Cult 2.0 by ginkgografix
edit 2: There wasn't as much interest as the last time, so I will officially 'close' this at the end of November. Until then you can still send me your hoodie pics and I shall add them here as well.
edit: We need more hoodies! So where is your entry??
Don't be so shy. And you can hide your face if you want, that's ok.
A while ago Nyx-Valentine and I decided that we need to do it again. Grab any hoodie near you (if you don't have something use any other kind of head covering or be creative) and get your photo done!
Let's see if we can beat the amount of 82 entries from last time.
What are you waiting for?

Private Journal EntriesCommunity WeekPrivate Journal Entries by Fe0
I have been approached many times, by people who have wanted to post personal journals that only their watchers can read. Now, this is an AWESOME concept, and while it is currently not possible, I manage to show them the next best thing; And now, I have decided to show the rest of the community!
In this article, I am going to teach you how to post a journal that only members of DeviantArt can see. While all members will still be able to view it, this will keep your private affairs private. I.E: What happens on DeviantArt, stays on DeviantArt.
So, whether you are trying to bypass a nosy sibling, annoying coworker, hovering parent, or just trying to share something specifically with members of the community, this is how it's done:
Things you will need:
A DeviantArt account.
Some experience using Sta.sh.Patience/Adaptability.
This is completely different to the traditional way of uploading journal entries, so this is where the patience/adaptability part comes i
devMeet at Denver Comicon!JournaldevMeet at Denver Comicon! by Katara-Alchemist
It is a go! The Meet will happen Saturday, June 1st, though a specific time won't be announced until we get a tad closer (that way I can try and schedule around big panels and such). All information on the con can be found on the con's website, so come take a look for specifics.
Also, as for specific place, that will be decided Friday May 31st as I need to go scope the place out on the first day of the con since I have no idea how they'll be using the convention center. I'll send out an announcement with all final details that Friday afternoon, and you guys can always reach me through note or twitter (kataraalchemist) if you need any info.
The con itself runs from May 31st to June 2nd and will be held at the Colorado Convention Center. It is very easy to get to by lightrail or bus, so I advise parking somewhere else and then taking the lightrail/bus in because parking will be a bitch.
Suggestion: Blocked TagsDear deviantArt Staff,Suggestion: Blocked Tags by BasilsAngelofMusic
I would like to make a suggestion for a new user feature for this website called “Blocked Tags”. I feel this would be a very useful feature for people who do not wish to see certain deviations or kinds of deviations on this website, particularly those who are sensitive to certain triggers. With a feature like this, users could be free to search this site without fear of seeing a deviation which could either offend or upset them. This feature should be accessible by all users, including those without a Premium Membership.
How could a user block tags?
Just like with the Blocked Users list, there could be a Blocked Tags list underneath that in the user Settings. In this, a user can type any number of words which would likely be used as a tag in deviations. Any deviation containing such a tag would no longer be available for that user’s viewing.
What would happen to the deviation containing such tags?
No action would need to be taken a
